The Three C's
Recently, the Father has had me in a place of prayer and reflection. In our busy schedules, it can be easy to suffocate the three C’s. In spending time with Him, I felt a calling to...
1.) Clarity 2.) Calmness 3.) Creativity
When considering pursuing your purpose and destiny, there are many verses of scripture that we all know so well such as, “For I know the plans I have for you… plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” in Jeremiah 29:11 or in James 1:5 where He says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
I wonder though, if it’s not just that we ask, but in how we ask. “Being busy” has become a cliché and honestly a crutch. We have to very intentional to “withdraw and pray” as Jesus did often (See Luke 5:16).
I’ve often heard that God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19) and that He must fulfill His promises. But the thing is, I don’t believe He’s obligated to give us our destinies. He has wonderful things for us as you see in Jeremiah, but those who acquire it are those who press into the things of God. We must renew our minds to live in a constant state of clarity, calmness, and creativity!
I find myself being most creative, placing strategy on my vision, when I am alone, calm, and have a clear mind. I certainly don’t have it figured out and it takes discipline. However, today I am challenging myself and you to commit at least one hour per day to “withdrawing to the wilderness.” Spend time with Him reflecting on the plans and vision He has for you and watch Him lead you to your destiny!
